Me at the Astronomical Laboratory in Barbados

It was a wonderful experience.

The telescope

The Barbados Astronomical Society headquarters since 1963, the observatory has a 14-inch reflector telescope -- the only one in the eastern Caribbean.

Saturn for the telescope

I attempted to capture the view of Saturn from the Telescope into my Camera. Took nearly 10 mins to capture these images. Wasn't that easy as we think :)

Tried to zoom and catpure it

All these years I did not believe that Saturn would be that way with a ring around the planet until I watched it myself. That was a real good feeling to view that.

Hindu Temple

A simple temple built by Guyanese community. Guyana has most of its population decended from India. Guyanese resemble Indian people.

Inside of Hindu Temple

This is one of the Hindu temples in Barbados. This is in a area called Welches

Road opp. to the Oval

Right in front of the Oval.

3rd day in action

Barbados was batting then.

Players in Dressing room

Watched the third day of the test match between Barbados and Jamica. I only knew Chris Gayle of the Jamican team.

A civil engineer at the Oval

Selvakumar is one of the civil engineers who had build this stadium. I found him there that day and happened to become good friends. He took me around the stadium. Thanks to him.

Crickters Dressing Room.

The building between the two stands is the players dressing room.

Hi !

At the entrance to the Oval

Banner talking about me ;)

Find the banner on the boundary line.

I wish I was watching World Cup 2007

CBB from a distance

You can see my work place in Barbados at a distance. It is the Central Bank of Barbados. The tallest building in the country. 9 storied high :)

A pavilion in the stadium by my Name :)

Front View of the Oval

Isn't it lovely?

Cycle Racing

Cyclists going around Garrison. Some race was going on that time.

White Sand

Unlike the sand on the Indian soil this sand is light in colour. Off-white kind. You can notice it in the pictures. This adds to the beauty of the water and beaches. Moreover, it is some what powdery kind of and quickly becomes like white mud. Does not feel like solid grains of sand.

On my way to office...

Another beautiful view.

Tyres bigger than truck :)

My way to office

I see this lovely beach everyday on my way to office. It just freshens up my day.

Clear Waters

Water in these beaches is very clear. Almost sky blue.

Lovely beaches in Barbados

All beaches are very much accessible to public. Most of the beaches are easily accessible from roads. One can just drive up to the parking area and walk 50 meters or so..you are in waters :) So close they are. Most beaches have car parking facilities.

My house....way to up Mr.Foster's house.

The way the house is built is really nice. The lawn, the path to upstairs, and the garden, car park, all are nicely planned.

My house..another picture

Lawn at Kilnary

Kilnary is name of the house where I stay. It has a very beautiful lawn and a big garden in the back yard. The interesting thing about the back yard of this house is it goes steep up just like a hill. Mrs.Foster spends around two hours a day maintaining it.

My house and my car

This is where I live in Barbados. The house belongs to Mr and Mrs Fosters who also own a big bakery in Barbados. They live upstairs and I live in the ground floor. You can see my car in the picture. Suzuki Swift. Very much similar to our India version of it Maruti Suzuki Swift but for the gears part of it.

Chefette.

A big chain of restuarants in Barbados. They are the number one in this country. They were established some 35 years ago. (extra piece of info ;) )

Barbados Parliment Building.

Just think of our Parliment Building. I don't think we would ever go that close to it easily. :) There is only ONE security guard at the gate :)

Tom Adams Financial Centre

CBB is in this centre. You can see this red column in front of CBB. There is one more hall in this building.....it is a Sale hall..where people have some huge sales held here.

CBB from a little distance.

It is in very near to the Parliment building of Barbados.

CBB_Front_View

Roads aren't that wide in Barbados. You can see it here.

This is from Level 9 of CBB. Near to my desk.

Scary me on the board walk. At careenage.

Place where ships are cleaned.

Another picture. Observe the hair of that guy...loooong. :)
